The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the superior range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out website into a substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area every day. The service issue established for intervention activities a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
